Saint Stephen Protomartyr Memorial Fund
|
In 1998, the Saint Stephen Protomartyr Parish Memorial Fund was established
as a way to either honor a friend or family member on their birthday,
wedding day, etc., or to honor the memory of a deceased friend or
loved one. There are four types of gifts in our Memorial Fund:
- Gifts designated for The Parish Endowment Fund are
monetary gifts that are never spent, but only invested.
The income earned through the investments will one day
become an ongoing source of revenue for our parish. As
the market begins to recover, the value of our endowment
fund has increased to approximately $65,000 (as of January, 2005).
Our Endowment Fund grew by $8,047 in 2004.
- Gifts designated for Saint Stephen School will be used
for tuition assistance and/or school operating expenses.
- Gifts designated for the St. Vincent de Paul Society
provide outreach and direct service to people in our
neighborhood who are in need.
- Gifts designated for the Where Most Needed
category were used for parish operating expenses,
the capital campaign, and the church renovation.

How Do I Make a Contribution to the Memorial Fund?
|
Complete a Memorial Gift Card and return it to the
Parish office. The person who is being honored or
remembered will receive a card acknowledging your gift.
All registered parishioners will have their gifts to the
Memorial Fund noted on their year-end contribution statement.
The Memorial Gift Cards are available at the different
entrances of the church and at the Parish office. Additional
cards will be delivered to a funeral home if family members
of a deceased parishioner would like to designate that
contributions be made to the Saint Stephen Parish Memorial Fund.
